Purgatorio 13.109–111
Sapia to Dante on the terrace of envy
Savia non fui, avvegna che Sapìa
fossi chiamata, e fui de li altrui danni
più lieta assai che di ventura mia.
Wise I was not, although Sapia
was what I was called, and I was far happier
at others' harm than at my own good fortune.
