Purgatorio 10.124–126
Dante, seeing the souls burdened with stones
non v’accorgete voi che noi siam vermi
nati a formar l’angelica farfalla,
che vola a la giustizia sanza schermi?
do you not perceive that we are worms
born to form the angelic butterfly
that flies to justice without defense?
