Aeneid 7.202–204

Latinus welcoming the Trojan envoys

ne fugite hospitium neve ignorate Latinos

Saturni gentem, haud vinclo nec legibus aequam,

sponte sua veterisque dei se more tenentem.

do not shun our hospitality or overlook the Latins,

Saturn's race, upright not from restraint or laws,

but of its own free will, preserving the old god's custom.
